Established
in January 2006, the restaurant offers revamped
Thai cuisines, to accommodate the flavours of
local Malaysians. Western, Chinese and Indian
dishes are also available. These multi-culture
dishes are the creation of Encik Abdul Shukor, a
chef from Johor who has 27 years of experience in
food culinary. During his stint in Sabah, he was
often requested to cater for the production crews
who were filming in this state, on top of being
the cook for Minister of Sabah for two years and a
chef for a renowned hotel in Sabah for 13 years.
His popularity has also attracted the Sultan of
Brunei to employ him for 6 months in 1986.
Other
than his main course specialties, he is also well
known for his delicacies, hot buns and roti canai.
The most popular dish in the restaurant however,
is the homemade Tomato Rice. In the near future,
the restaurant will also offer traditional soups
such as "sup tulang" and chicken soup.
This
restaurant has been voted as the Most Popular
PILIHAN BERNAS Restaurant for the month of January
