The total workforce of Bernas is in the region 1,600 employees that support its operations group-wide, of which almost 75% joined the organization before the corporatisation of Lembaga Padiberas Negara (LPN) to Syarikat Padiberas Sdn Bhd in 1994. Through the blend of experienced staff of the LPN era and new recruits from diverse background who brought in fresh ideas into the organisation, the resulting culture is both intriguing and unique where both old and new learn from each other as BERNAS strives to enhance in excellence.
With greater emphasis placed on merit-based performance in recent years, the outcome is a marked increase in operation efficiency and effectiveness.
In line with the need to be highly competitive, upgrading and development of multi-disciplinary skills and competencies have been positioned as high importance.
