The Federal and State Governments are implementing ongoing efforts to boost the self-sufficiency level (SSL) for rice in Sabah, said Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee. He said the national SSL for rice stands at 70 per cent, while 30 per cent of rice is imported.
